Agnus | Project Life - Amy Tangerine Better Together

Hi again :) I'm back with another project life share this time using the fun 'Better Together' collection from Amy Tangerine.

The colours and images are so bright and fun in this collection, and were very easy to mix with a range of photos to help me document week 12 from my album.

I used one of the gold overlays for my first pocket, pairing it with a rainbow patterned paper and cut apart pieces from the 6x6" paper pad along with a few stickers from the collection.

Building simple layers is one of my favourite ways to add some colours and detail to my pockets and I used one of the clear overlays over more paper accents add added a few pieces over the top for extra dimension.

The round chipboard alpha thickers are great for adding extra little details and I have used the blue colour across both of my pages to help everything tie in together. I have also used the rotary phrase stamp to add a few cute phrases to some of the pockets.

The second part of the week moves onto Easter, although I will need to add an insert to document the rest of our Easter activities.

I used a sheet of vellum to tone down one of the busy patterns and created a layered accent over the top to form a custom filler card using the chipboard alphas. I added a little bit of hand stitching to work in more of the yellow, and to help to define the circle.

The gold overlays are also great for framing journaling, and I mounted a puffy sticker onto one of the chipboard alphas pieces and punched a simple arrow shape from of the the papers.

I usually type all of my journaling using a typewriter font on my computer, and often look for accent pieces that will help me to tell the story - this time using the cut apart pieces from the paper pad and a cute puffy sticker

The sticker book contains 8 pages of fun phrases and images and also includes a sheet of smaller black alpha circles, which I stitched in place.

Leanne | Simple Stories Birthday Tags...

Hello Sassy Friends! It's Leanne here today and I am sharing a super easy set of three birthday tags created with the gorgeous Simple Stories Let's Party collection!

These tags have all been created using leftovers and I have styled them with a simple, basic and then a more layered look in mind.

Tag 1 | Simple

Step 1. Trim a piece of cardstock to 3"x4". Punch a hole at the top center and remove/trim the corners evenly.

Step 2. Layer two strips of patterned paper and the lower edge. Add a sticker sentiment to the lowest paper strip and a piece of twine to the punched hole.

Step 3. Adhere the die cut number to the tag and layer with a paper piece from the ephemera pack.

Tag 2 | Basic

Step 1. Trim a piece of cardstock to 3"x4". Punch a hole at the top center and remove/trim the corners evenly.

Step 2. Trim a second piece of cardstock (I've used navy) to 3"x4". Adhere to the tag.

Step 3. Trim a 3"x4" Journaling Card  to fit the navy cardstock, allowing a slight border to show. Add fussy cut stars between the three layers.

Step 4. Trim a sentiment from the Elle's Studio Cameron Lil Snippets and add to the lower section of the tag.

Step 5. To finish, mount a die cut ephemera candle onto foam tape and layer to the top of the tag.

Tag 3 | Layered

Step 1. Trim a piece of cardstock to 3"x4". Remove/trim the corners evenly. Trim a notch from the lower section.

Step 2. Trim a second tag slightly smaller than the first. Adhere to the cardstock. Punch a small circle and adhere to the top of the tag. Punch a hole through all of the layers at the top center of the tag.

Step 3. Trim a strip of patterned paper slightly wider than the tag. Adhere to the lower section of the tag. Trim a sentiment from the Elle's Studio Cameron Lil Snippets and layer on top of the paper strip.

Step 4. Add a small chipboard frame to the tag, layering both the sentiment cut apart and the paper strip. Add a small sticker to the left hand border of the frame.

Step 5. Finish the tag by adding a foam mounted ephemera die cut and a piece of twine to the punched hole.

Leanne | Simple Stories Pocket Page/Pocket Letter...

Hello Sassy Friends! Today I am sharing a very quick pocket page to celebrate my oldest son becoming a teenager! The Simple Stories Let's Party collection has so many awesome elements that this project came together in minutes!  Got to love that right?!

"13 Hip Hip Hooray!"

I've chosen a pocket page design with 4"x4" pockets in the center row.  This allowed me to create balance while focusing on an important part of my project. The number 13. *grin* I have placed the pocket pieces die cut numbers directly into the clear middle pocket. Two die cuts fit quite comfortably but I like the subtle overlapping design to help create a sense of movement.

The rest of the pockets are filled with 3x4 journaling cards and lots of cute ephemera. The chipboard frames highlight special moments as well as my journaling. Layers have been created with cardstock, patterned paper and more ephemera mounted on foam dots.

There isn't a lot of deep and meaningful thought going into this project, however, I wanted to keep it simple and bright in keeping with the theme of the day spent at the waterpark. In essence, this pocket page is more along the lines of a pocket letter rather than a project life insert.  But the basics are there and the memories have been recorded.  Thanks for visiting...x
